Sewer system designing for the bright builder
Sewer system designing for the bright builder
You may be aware that your drainage pipe system is designed to move effluents into the septic tank. In sewer systems from houses, pipes are laid in between inspection chambers. The entire sewer system must be constructed in such a way that it has the ability to self cleanse without developing blockages. The use of correct gradients is a must here. Normally UPVC pipework is employed in the sewer system. Its important after laying to sufficiently test before commissioning the system. Particular attention should be paid to the pipes between the inspection chambers.
The laying down of drainpipes should be done in indents in the ground. The standard trench depth that is used is between three hundred and five hundred millimeters. Concrete casing is required for the system when it is laid below a parking area, walkway or driveway. To begin laying the lines, first excavate the trenches to the necessary depths. Levels should be graded in the direction of the sewers or tanks. The slope should be in the ratio of one is to four. It should be ensured that the foot of each trench is packed close and rammed. Use pegs to set the levels in the trench bottoms.
The pipeline has to be aligned straight. Sockets enable connecting of the pipes and directing them towards the building. The ground containing the system should be compacted and consistent. Male and female sockets should be used to join the pipes using a good adhesive. Read the instructions that come with the adhesive carefully and make sure that all of them are followed well. Ensure that the pipe goes into the full wall thickness during connection to the various inspection chambers. Pipes must be free of litter and internal obstructions.
Check all the drain pipes before installing them. This is to make sure they are not perforated. Confirm the correct formation of the socket recesses in the foundation. In addition, their length should be kept to a minimum. The inlet and outlet points must be evened out and marked appropriately. After completing all joints cover the system with soil. Septic tanks or sewers can now be connected. And the final step is to link the system to the utilities to finish the drainage system and commence the final test.
